Southend/Leigh Youth Theatre
Monday 29th December 2014

Southend Youth Theatre Saturday Morning Drama Group for ages 6 to 14, run by Southend Youth Arts, a local long established not for profit group.

Graduate tutors, all staff CRB cleared. Saturdays in term-time, 10.30-12. 4 per week prepaid in 5 or 10 week blocks or 5 paid weekly. This is a traditional youth theatre group, not a stage school: we do not offer children a career in the West End. However we do offer them the opportunity to develop confidence, social skills, speech and movement, as well as a safe place to make friends and enjoy exploring their own talents.

We teach basic skills in drama, dance and voice, and encourage youngsters to play a role on directing and staging as well. From January 17th we will be working on our new project, Southend Rock - a lively look at Southend in the 50s and 60s in dances, songs and drama. New members always welcome.
