It is with sadness that we have to report that our Chairman of some considerable years Florrie Holland has recently passed away.  Florrie had been involved with the arts and especially drama for many years in Southend.  She served as the Chairman of Southend Arts Council for many years.  She was a leading actress with East Essex Players for many years as well as being closely involved with Southend Drama Festival.  We will publish a full tribute to Florrie soon.
